Showing sportsmanship and fair play.

Aroha

Showing sportsmanship

• take turns and share - there's no I in team

• use kōrero pai ia rā, ia rā...

• treat others how you want to be treated

• Knowing and following the rules of the game

• Being ready to admit when you are wrong

• Listening to others if they vote you out and going to the back of the line if they say you are out

• Joining the line at the end and not pushing in or letting others in, in front of you

• Celebrating successes humbly

• Supporting people when they lose/get out, use put ups and encourage them instead of laughing at them

• Remembering it is just a game and it is ok to lose, someone has to lose and someone has to win - You win some! You lose some!

• Be kind!

Success Indicator:

• everyone will be sharing and taking turns

• postive talk is used and heard from people passing by

• people are happy and included

• Games outside will be fun and friendly

• When we lose, we know it is ok and just part of the game and just keep going like the Piharau

• We will be encouraging and happy with our friends

• We will show mana when we win AND lose so our tīpuna will be proud of us.
