Mrs. Gleason & Mrs. Stallings 3rd Grade

Students will receive graded work weekly. You can expect to see various marks on their work. Some will have a number for accuracy, while others may simply have check marks, smiley faces, or stars to indicate the work has been reviewed.

Not every assignment is taken for an official grade. Many will be used to show progress towards mastery or as a quick check to ensure students understand before moving on to new information.

There will be opportunities on most assignments for reassessment. ProgressBook will be utilized and updated regularly.

With guidance, students will work together to create a learning environment that is calm, inviting, and supportive of all types of learners. In our classroom, students should have a sense of belonging, feel comfortable taking risks, and feel empowered to learn and grow.

We take a responsive approach to behavior management. We want students to understand the infraction, find ways to repair it if needed, or simply understand the natural consequence that follows the action, and then move on with our day in a positive way.

Most behavior issues will be handled in the classroom as we understand that kids are kids and their mistakes are part of learning to be a good citizen. If needed, we will reach out by phone or email to alert you or ask for support.
