Wade King PTO Membership (2025 - 2026 School Year)

Being a Wade King PTO member is FREE and allows you to vote on PTO items like budget, activities we sponsor, and PTO leadership. If you're part of the Wade King Community, you're already a member.

Wade King PTO Meetings

PTO meetings are a fun, informal, and informative opportunity to connect to your child’s school, staff, other parents/guardians. Our meetings are a fun place, a chance to learn and be heard, and an opportunity to volunteer (though volunteering is completely optional). In our meetings, we discuss PTO budget distribution, PTO fundraisers, Wade King community and school events, new learning materials, and we brainstorm new ideas to foster community with our kids and families.

Wade King PTO Supports...

International Baccalaureate: The PTOis an enthusiastic supporter and partner in the IB program here at Wade King—the first authorized Primary Years Program in Washington state. We continue to invest in library resources, materials to support units of inquiry for grade levels and family education, and more.
Extracurricular and family-oriented activities: We host events such, as the Arts Festival and Move-A-Thon.
Our teachers: We provide a PTO grant for classroom supplies and field trip expenses for each teacher.
Enrichment: We administer and offset the cost of field trips, chess, art, math olympiad, various cultures and languages, etc.
Technology: We provide supplemental technology and tools that fall outside district budgets (eg, LEGO robotics).
Fundraising: Our annual Move-A-Thon is our most effective fundraiser to support PTO programs and school needs.

The PTO is a path to suggest change at your child’s school. Be part of the solution and help make positive changes. Membership dues also support our state and national PTO Organizations for child and youth legislative representation, providing a voice to larger issues affecting all school communities.

Be a Role Model

Demonstrate to your child the importance you place on education.
