Who: Any 3rd - 5th grader currently enrolled at Wade King Elementary School
What: Honor Choir is intended for students who are eager to learn how to elevate their singing potential and perform with high energy and stamina. During Session 2 of Honor Choir, students will work toward preparing for Honor Choir Fest at the Christ the King Community Church in Bellingham on March 21 with a possible additional local National Anthem performance.

Time: 2:30 - 4 p.m.

Expectations:
Honor Choir students are expected to follow school expectations and expected to practice at home between after-school rehearsals. Music and sing-along materials will be posted on ParentSquare in the Honor Choir ParentSquare group.
Attendance is required at all rehearsals. Questions about the attendance policy absences, should be directed to Angela Mazur via ParentSquare or email.
Any parent/guardian interested in chaperoning Honor Choir during afternoon rehearsals will receive a full scholarship for their student. There are three spaces available. Chaperones will alternate days to attend if all three spaces are filled.
Rehearsals Dates: 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/16
Special Dates: 7:30 – 8a.m., Friday, 10/16, Wade King Music Room; 12:30 – 9 p.m., Saturday, 10/17, Lumen Field National Anthem
SEATTLE SOUNDERS OPPORTUNITY
If your student will be a 3rd, 4th or 5th grader in the upcoming school year (26 - 27) and would like to join us in October to sing the National Anthem on the 50-yard line of Lumen Field during a Seattle Sounders game, please sign up for Honor Choir Session 1 (link below)
Match Details:
When: October 17, 2026
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Where: Lumen Field, Seattle, WA
Details: Students will travel via school bus from Wade King Elementary to Lumen Field on Saturday, October 17th. Students will need transportation home from the match and a guardian/family member in attendance during the match.
Tickets: Additionally, please get your tickets for the game, using this link (the official group tickets for Wade King). Your singer and any family member or friends interested in attending need a ticket to attend. While tickets are not free for singers, these special group discounted tickets are available for all.

Note: Junior Choir is all about FUN, FUN, FUN! There are no scheduled performances at this time. As the group assembles and rehearsals begin, information regarding a small performance will be shared.

Once again, the Wade King Choir nailed it, singing the National Anthem at the Mariners versus Red Sox game Monday, June 16.
If you missed it, check out the video below of the performance, which included an enthusiastic spray of fireworks to compliment the rocket's red glare. These kiddos did so well, and we're so proud.
And we can't thank Mrs. Mazur enough for being such an amazing support system for our students!

Lead by the illustrious Angela Mazur, our students were once again asked to perform the National Anthem at T-Mobile Park before a Seattle Mariners game this spring.
