Cell Phones
When I am actively instructing the class, phones AND earbuds should be put away (not on your desk).
Tardies
You are considered tardy if you have not entered the room before the bell has stopped ringing and you do not have a pass.
1st tardy – Warning
2nd tardy – Email is sent to your parent or guardian from Skyward
3rd tardy – Dean’s referral
Hall Passes
Please sign out at the clipboard by the door and sign back in when you return. Make sure that you have a pass with you in the hallways (either handwritten from me, one of the administrative offices, or one of my bathroom passes).
Restroom Breaks
If you can go to the restroom and return before the bell rings signaling the start of class, you do not have to ask permission.
Do not ask to go to the restroom when class is about to begin or I am actively teaching unless it’s truly an emergency. If you have an accommodation for bathroom use, you’re free to follow that accommodation.
One person out at a time.
Keep breaks to a minimum and to a reasonable length of time (5-10min). Other people may be waiting on you to use the bathroom.
Don't cheat. Do your own work.
Treat other people with respect.
Bring your materials and be prepared for class every day.
Try. Complete your work to the best of your ability.
Communicate issues. Ask questions.
Use class time wisely.
Clean up after yourself.
Follow school rules as outlined in the WCHS Student Handbook.
"Artificial Intelligence" or "AI" is intelligence demonstrated by computers, as opposed to human intelligence. "Intelligence" encompasses the ability to learn, reason, generalize, and infer meaning. Examples of AI technology include but are not limited to: ChatGPT and other chatbots and large language models.
AI is not a substitute for schoolwork that requires original thought. Students may not claim AI generated content as their own work. The use of AI to take tests, complete assignments, create multimedia projects, write papers, or complete schoolwork without permission by the teacher is strictly prohibited. The use of AI for these purposes constitutes cheating or plagiarism.
In order to ensure academic integrity, tests, assignments, projects, papers, and other schoolwork may be checked by AI content detectors and/or plagiarism recognition software.
