Please restart or power off your Chromebook daily. Tech Support will continue to push out new settings through the troubleshooting process, and sometimes those settings require a restart in order to take effect.
Do not have any food or drink near the Chromebook.
Place Chromebooks on an even surface so they don’t accidentally fall.
Avoid placing or stacking heavy objects on your Chromebook, or putting pressure on a closed Chromebook.
Make sure the Chromebook is not exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Do not block airflow to the device (putting the Chromebook under a blanket, working on your lap).
Don't close the Chromebook with anything inside it (pen, pencil, packet, etc.)
Move Chromebooks with care.
Close your Chromebook before moving it; do not hold by the screen to transport.
Support your Chromebook from the bottom.
Don't place the Chromebook in a bag, backpack, or other carrying case that has sharp objects in it.
Be careful not to drop or kick bags containing your Chromebook.
Plug your Chromebook in every night so it is ready to go in the morning.
Gently remove the power cord when the Chromebook is not being charged.
Keep battery life charged above 5% to avoid damage to the battery.
Restart/power off at least once a week.
Charge the Chromebook using the port on the side that has the blue/orange light.
Clean your Chromebook like you would a pair of glasses.
Use water to lightly moisten a cloth, then gently wipe down the keyboard and screen.
Never submerge the Chromebook or spray cleaning solutions directly onto the device.
Don't use products containing alcohol, ammonia or strong solvents.
If the Chromebook is stuck on a black screen, hold the power button for 30 seconds (restarting/powering off weekly will help with this issue).
