SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING FOR KIDS

Social and Emotional Skills are learned from early childhood through adulthood and are needed daily throughout our lives. SEL is the process of how our brains understand and manage emotions. We use these SEL skills to navigate relationships with friends and family, social and academic situations at school, our jobs, and anything we do in our communities. We need them for in-person interactions and digital communication to build on our social connections. On this page families, students, and teachers have access to these resources, lessons, and videos that explicitly teach the five competencies of SEL: Self-Management, Self-Awareness, Responsible Decision-Making, Social Awareness, and Relationship Skills. To access printable resources click on the appropriate grade level buttons provided. For additional interactive resources please scroll down the page. We hope you enjoy these activities and encourage you to be mindful of your social and emotional awareness during this pandemic.
