Hearing from community members is the key to building the ideas for the future that will best support Rochester Area's progress. Quintown region community members came together in a series of forums in October to share their ideas. Ideas were also contributed through an online survey. On November 1st, community members reviewed the ideas and selected two priorities for future action: Establish a Quintown Food Hub & Facilitate Learning and Sharing Amongst Farmers and Gardeners, and Address Affordable Housing. Actions in the area of Home, Business, & Municipal Energy Opportunities were also prioritized and will be carried forward by the existing Valley Energy and Climate Action Committee - open to all who want to contribute to the work.
On Monday December 6th community members came together to begin to develop strategic action plans for each initiative. Resource providers from around the region and the state joined to provide advice and to identify key resources needed for success.
Join a task force group to help take action on the selected priorities.
