Hearing from community members is the key to building the ideas for the future that will best support Barre's progress. Through the process, community members shared ideas in 2 ways:
At the Kick-Off event on August 25th in 9 focus forums (chosen by a steering committee of community representatives): Substance Use Disorder; Housing & Homelessness; Supporting Barre Students & Families; Aging in Barre; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Recreation, Arts & Culture; Transportation; Opportunities in the Face of Climate Change; Addressing Empty Buildings & Downtown Vitality.
Through an online and paper paper survey.

On September 29th, all community members came back together to review the action ideas shared by community members, selected top priorities for the future, and signed up to join Task Force groups to take action. For more information, click the "Events" tab.
