Sample collection from the Blacksburg-VPI Sanitation Authority. This is the source of the water that will flow through the prototype. 300 gallons will be collected and run through the 10th scale model at the Prices Fork research facility.
Students did a site visit at the Prices Fork Research Facility. They performed soil samples and concluded that this location was suitable for project and drain field implementation.
The location for the implementation was chosen to take place at The Prices Fork Research Farm in the area shaded in red on the map.
Sand
Pea Gravel
Coarse Gravel
Zeolite
Gravel
