Cost Breakdown & Permitting

Project Cost Breakdown

After identifying all the possible costs associated with the structure, floodplain and bed modifications, construction and permitting, the total cost of the project was estimated to be approximately $86,000. The cost of the project remains within the budget of ~$100,000. Considering the benfits that the project is expected to have on the overall health of the stream corridor, funding will be sought through the USDA-NRCS financial assistance cost-share provided through their various conservation programs.

Permitting

The calculated cost may increase after permit applications are submitted since the fees associated with the Floodplain Development Permit and the Land Disturbance Permit will be calculated after the application assessments have been completed by their respective entities. Additionally, it is important to note that the cost associated with permitting would ultimately need to be assumed by the landowners since permit costs are not covered by the USDA-NRCS cost-share programs described above.
