The 4-H Shooting sports program gives youth the opportunity to enroll in up to five different shooting sports project areas including: archery, pistol, rifle, shotgun, and muzzleloading. Youth will learn safe and responsible use of firearms and archery equipment including sound decision making, selfdiscipline, and concentration. In 4-H shooting sports we look to promote the highest standards of ethical behavior, sportsmanship, and safety. Being part of the 4-H shooting sports projects will help you to understand our natural resources and develop a personal environmental stewardship through shooting and hunting related activities.

I have been a 4-H Club leader since 2014, initially with a Cloverbud Club, growing into a STEM Club, and in 2018 we transitioned to a Shooting Sports Club. I have 2 daughters who are in the Shooting Sports Club. I work for the Navy but am a farmer at heart, having a small orchard, raising poultry, large gardens, and a hunter. I love that 4-H allows opportunities for the kids to lead and run the clubs. Our club is focused on developing the shooting sports skills and leadership in our area youth.
