About Us
Service Without Borders is an interdisciplinary, student-led organization whose mission is to share the spirit of Virginia Tech’s motto, Ut Prosim, locally and globally by providing assistance to communities in need. SWB projects engage students in real-world design, project management, construction, marketing, fund raising, and cultural experiences. Students will work alongside professionals and community partners to assess issues in international and local communities, and address them with culture sensitive engineering and educational solutions. Students will work to find funding for these projects as well as advice and mentorship from professionals.
Our Approach to Service
Service Without Borders values listening, facilitating, and empowering communities. Our members are culturally open-minded, and our trips explore cultural exchange through community-driven projects. We embrace diversity, and our mission involves becoming a close family with our international partners.
