What is 4-H Camp?

4‑H camping offers fun, hands‑on learning experiences that help youth build confidence, independence, and life skills. All Virginia 4‑H Camps follow American Camp Association (ACA) standards to ensure safety, quality programming, and professional staff supervision.

Who can attend 4-H Camp?

4‑H membership and participation are based on a youth’s age during the 4‑H program year, which runs October 1 – September 30.

Campers

Ages 9–11

Counselors in Training (CIT)

Ages 12–14

Teen Counselors

Ages 15–18

Required Forms for Campers

Before camp, families must complete:

4‑H Health History Form (required for all participants)
Medication Form (if applicable)
Special Dietary Needs Form
Media Release
Code of Conduct
