Teaching Philosophy
Teaching carries important responsibilities, such as, preparing students for their careers, maintaining rigorous but equitable standards within the field of mathematics, and providing metorship. My teaching philosophy is centered on the basis that learning occurs best through an active dialogue. Lectures, homework, projects, and research should be a conversation between both student and teacher, as growth occurs through a series of exposures rather than isolated events. I promote this conversation in my course design through active learning during lecture time, revision opportunities on homework and projects, and community building among students.
