I am a PhD student in Mathematics at Virginia Tech. As an undergraduate student I studied Biochemistry, Chemistry and Mathematics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and discovered a love of describing complex systems with mathematics! My current research focuses on modeling infection, immune response, and drug therapy responses within hosts using systems of Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs), Pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) models, and Non-linear mixed effect (NLME) models.
