about -

Jordan (she/her) is a T32 Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Mental Health where she works with Drs. David Mandell and Courtney Benjamin-Wolk. She completed her doctorate in Clinical Science at Virginia Tech where she was a member of Dr. Angela Scarpa's PANDA Lab.

Jordan's research is focused on understanding barriers to access to care for autistic* youth, as well as the implementation and sustainment of evidence-based practices for autistic youth in underserviced communities and public school settings.

Jordan has a passion for conducting collaborative research that translates to tangible, meaningful results for her community. To this end, she has extensive experience working within community-academic partnerships, using a community-based participatory research framework, and using mixed-methods research design and analysis to address community needs. She works to involve autistic individuals, families, providers, and other stakeholders at every stage of her research. Please contact her if you are interested in partnering in this work!

In addition to her research, Jordan engages with school and community partners through professional development, consultation, and advocacy.

*In alignment with the neurodiversity model of autism, and with the stated preferences of many self-advocates, I use identity-first language (e.g., “autistic person”) as opposed to person-first language (e.g., "person with autism").
