Payment & Scholarships

Camp Counselor - Cost of Camp is $180. 

Payments can be made via check or money order to your local extension office.

The 2024 Camper cost has not been determined but it  includes meals and lodging for five days and four nights, a camp t-shirt, and class supplies. 

You will be contacted with payment instructions after you've registered and been accepted into camp. Payment in full is due within 7 days of your camp reservation. Donations to our scholarship fund are always appreciated and can be made as an add-on to your camp fee. Payment must be made in the form of a check made out to "Treasurer of Virginia Tech". Payment can be sent by mail to:

Request a Scholarship

Scholarships are available for those with a financial need.  On the application form, you will have an opportunity to apply for a *need-based* scholarship. The form will ask you to share 2023 income and any Medicaid, SNAP, or Free/Reduced lunch documentation. After receiving your request, we will be in touch to let you know if we can approve your scholarship request and what amount you should send in for your final camp payment. All camp payments are due by TBD

January 27, 2024: Full refund minus fees

January 28, 2024 - March 1, 2024: 50% minus Fees 

March 1, 2024 after that no refunds may be processed.

Once you have requested a refund, you have 30 days to fill out and send a W-9 to your 4-H Agent to begin the refund process. Once the 30 days have passed we can no longer honor a refund.
