FairFax Arlington ALexandria (FAA) 4-H Camp
4-H Camp June 23 - 27, 2024
4-H Camp is the highlight of the summer. We are pleased to offer a safe, fun, and unforgettable overnight camp for Arlington, Alexandria, and Fairfax youth.
Who can attend?
4-H Camp is co-ed and campers must turn 9 by 9/30/2024 and must be no older than 14 on 12/31/2024. Campers are primarily Arlington County, City of Alexandria, or Fairfax County residents. Find more information on the Registration page.
Too young to attend 4-H Junior Camp? Check out Cloverbud Camp instead! Too old to attend as a camper? Consider coming to camp as a counselor!
How much does 4-H Camp cost?
The 2024 camp cost has not been released but it does covers all meals, lodging for five days and four nights, a camp t-shirt, and class supplies. The camp fee can be paid by check. You will be contacted with payment instructions after you've registered and been accepted into camp. We also offer scholarships for those with financial need.
What do campers do at 4-H Camp?
Every morning at camp, campers will rotate through camp classes. We will offer six different tracks of classes and we will try our best to accommodate class track requests. More information about class tracks offered can be found on the Classes Page.
There is free swim and recreation time each day, as well as evening programs and campfire.
Each camper will be a part of a "pack" which serves as the camper’s “family” during the week of camp. "Packs" will rotate through camp activities together and are involved in different contests on various days. Bear Claws are awarded for spirit, participation, and demonstrations of good character!

Who supervises 4-H campers?
Each year we recruit teen volunteers 14 and up to serve as counselors for our camp. These teens, as well as our adult volunteers, 4-H Extension Staff, and 4-H Center Staff, complete a training series and are tested on core concepts before attending camp. Our staff is trained according to the American Camp Association requirements and you can rest assured that your child will have a safe, enjoyable experience at 4-H Camp!
National Accreditation
Virginia’s 4-H camping program is recognized throughout the nation as a leader in 4-H camping programs. Each of the six Virginia 4-H Educational Centers has achieved and maintains American Camp Association (ACA) accreditation.
Parents and guardians should always look for the ACA seal when selecting a camp for their child to attend. Only about 25 percent of all camps in the nation are accredited by the ACA, the recognized camp accreditation organization in the United States. Having ACA accreditation means that the camp meets the highest standards for safety, food service and staffing, health care, and program quality.
Each 4-H Educational Center maintains these standards annually. Additionally, all 300 standards are reviewed every three years for reaccreditation. Each 4-H center program staff person, as well as the adult and teen 4-H volunteers who participate in camp, are carefully selected and trained prior to the camping event.
