During my senior year of high school, I worked with Fairfax County’s GIS department to create walking routes for 40 schools across the county. Using each school’s walking boundary and grade-level criteria, I conducted multiple rounds of analysis to design the most efficient and appropriate walking routes.
The work done in ArcGIS Online was mainly filtering and deriving locations of certain features. I then imported the edited data to ArcGIS Pro to finalize the map and create a layout. I also created a custom basemap using Vector Style Editor and styled the data per the clients request.
