Cybersecurity is a team sport!
Cybersecurity: Measures (relating to people, process and technology) taken to protect a computer or computer system against unauthorized access or attack.
We are looking for POTENTIAL. There are all types of 'technical' talent that needs to be developed, from incident response to insurance underwriting, policy to programming, technical writing to network operations... this field needs experts of the future.
This project is all about getting people into jobs. Cybersecurity is a field of opportunity because security work needs people across business functions - everyone has power to help or harm.
1) Cybersecurity work is not just IT work.
2.) Companies want help navigating hiring practices:
Internships and entry level jobs can provide companies with information about themselves.
Good candidates come from all sorts of places - a wider talent pool works.
Neurodiversity = natural variations in how people think and act.
Neurodivergent conditions include autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, dyscalculia and Tourette’s syndrome.
A neurodivergent job candidate is someone with skill and potential. They also offer a unique perspective, boosting creativity and innovation.
