Bus Transportation is NOT provided to and from camp. Families will bring campers directly to Jamestown 4-H Educational Center on Monday, July 6, and pickup at Jamestown on Friday, July 10. Please be aware that families will not get out of the vehicles during registration, but simply drive from one station to the next. Please do not arrive earlier than your designated time for pickup or drop-off. Please see specific times per county for the Drop-off/Departure on Schedule (right). Staff will greet you as you drive up to the Center. Parents are asked to remain in the vehicles as staff will assist campers with luggage at the appropriate time. Parents will not be allowed in the cabin/lodge areas. A “touchless” check-in will consist of three easy steps.
***The flyers (right) are from 2025 and will be updated asap!
All campers who bring medication(s) to 4-H camp MUST complete the 4-H medication form (right). This completed form must then be brought to Jamestown on Monday's camp drop off, along with the medications (in the original container) all in a Ziploc bag. See directions above in the "Packing" instructions under "Medications."
Please DO NOT pack your child's medications and Camp Store $$ in his or her suitcase. These should be ready to hand to staff upon arrival at the drive through stations.
All camper mail is delivered daily after lunch. Campers love receiving letters from home while at 4-H camp. Please use the following address: Camper Name, Goochland-Hanover-Powhatan 4-H Camp, Jamestown 4-H Educational Center, 3751 4-H Club Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185
Family and friends are strongly encouraged to send letters and notes to camp. We also suggest you send your child to camp with self-addressed, stamped envelopes for their use. Small packages are welcome, but we ask for your full cooperation in not sending food items. NO FOOD IS ALLOWED IN THE CABINS as food attracts mice, raccoons, skunks and other critters into the living space. We also do not want to jeopardize the safety of other children with food allergies.
The full cell phone policy at 4-H camp can be found at this LINK.
Summer 4-H Camp Menu
The Summer 2026* menu is subject to change. If your child has food/dietary allergies, please make sure your local 4-H Extension agent is aware and this information is recorded in the camper's health history in the 4-H enrollment.
*This menu is from last summer; an updated 2026 menu will be available by June 1.
