Campers are housed in cabins and lodges, under the supervision of trained adults and teen counselors. Bathrooms are within the housing buildings.
Campers eat their meals in the dining hall, cafeteria style. There is always a teen leader and/or adult at each table to assist.
Campers select their classes on Monday at camp. They will participate in 4 classes per day, over three days.
Open Rec time is available each day. Campers can self-select from activities such as swimming, gau-gau, archery, fishing, crafts, basketball, and more!
There are 2 campfires during the week, on the first and last nights of camp.
Specialty programs are held each night. Examples of these include pool party, carnival, group games, ice cream social and autograph book signing, tie-dyeing, and more!
Bus Transportation is NOT provided to and from camp. Families will bring campers directly to Jamestown 4-H Educational Center on Monday, June 30 and pickup at Jamestown on Friday, July 4. Please be aware that families will not get out of the vehicles during registration, but simply drive from one station to the next. Please do not arrive earlier than your designated time for pickup or drop-off. Please see specific times for the Drop-off/Departure on Schedule (coming soon!). Staff will greet you as you drive up to the center. Family members are asked to remain in the vehicles as staff will assist campers with luggage at the appropriate time. Families will not be allowed in the cabin/lodge areas. A “touchless” check-in will consist of three easy steps - details coming soon!
Campers who bring medications to camp MUST complete a medication form (left) and provide a copy at camp drop off with the medications in the original container. See details above.
The full cell phone policy at 4-H camp can be found at this LINK.
All camper mail is delivered daily after lunch. Campers love receiving letters from home while at 4-H camp. Please use the following address:
Camper Name
County (either Lancaster or Northumberland)
Jamestown 4-H Educational Center
3751 4-H Club Road

Family and friends are strongly encouraged to send letters and notes to camp. We also suggest you send your child to camp with self-addressed, stamped envelopes for their use. Small packages are welcome, but we ask for your full cooperation in not sending food items. NO FOOD IS ALLOWED IN THE CABINS as food attracts critters into the living space. We also do not want to jeopardize the safety of other children with food allergies.
