The School of Life is an opportunity for men—18 to 35 years old—to experience the brothers’ common life centered around the Word of God and the Eucharist. Participants share in the brothers’ daily times of adoration, liturgy, study, and manual work. The time spent at the monastery varies with each individual’s needs. It is a time for each one to root themselves in a life of prayer and learn to discern and mature the vocation God calls them to. The time in the School of Life is meant to develop and maintain in all those who desire an intelligence searching for God at the service of a heart desiring to love in truth.
"The need for a foundation for personal and communal life becomes all the more pressing at a time when we are faced with the patent inadequacy of perspectives in which the ephemeral is affirmed as a value and the possibility of discovering the real meaning of life is cast into doubt" (Fides et Ratio, #6).
