UCO - Year 12

The majority of university applications will be completed during term one of year 12. The UCO supports students throughout this process through individual meetings, lessons during Core as well as lunchtime workshops. Topics covered include application workshops, as well as interview techniques. VSA encourages students to limit their applications to 10 worldwide, which means students apply after carefully and considering their options. The UCO has strict internal deadlines to ensure ample time for all application materials to be processed in a timely manner.

We understand that transitioning to life after VSA for many students can be extremely daunting. The UCO works closely with the PSHE team to prepare students for the next stage of their lives. An example of topics covered includes dealing with homesickness, living with others, personal safety and Laundry 101.

The UCO will also help students to arrange for official IB results to be sent to universities, as well as provide guidance to students deciding on university acceptances.
