Accelerated Math:

This week students practiced using rates with Pokemon and library lock-box activities! We had a quiz on Friday and grades will be updated in Infinite Campus before conferences.

Reading

In Reading, students are spending a lot of time finishing our Amplify unit over Yellow Fever for the quarter. There are multiple summative assignments that will appear for the end of the quarter including a One Pager book report due next Thursday.

Writing

In Writing, students are close to finishing their Civil Rights and X-Men unit. To close things out, students are writing multiple C.E.R. written responses as well as an expository essay over one person from the Civil Rights Movement.

This week we learned more about the water cycle. Next week we will have a quiz over the water cycle on Thursday.  We will begin science fair experiments after spring break.
