November 18 - 22, 2024

Accelerated Math:

This week practiced solving one-step equations. Showing our work is very important! Please encourage your student to show the process. We will have a quiz over one-step equations on Tuesday, November 26. 

  6 Math:

This week finished Topic 3, numeric and algebraic expressions. We had a test on Friday and grades will be updated in Infinite Campus. 

Reading

In Reading, we are beginning Figurative Language.

Writing

In Writing, students are beginning to read and write about the Holocaust for our nonfiction unit.

This week we diagnosed our second patient with anemia after learning about the circulatory and respiratory systems. We finished this section by writing a CER that is due before break (no exceptions). We are working on this in class.

We are learning about mountain ranges in the USA including learning stations about the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. Next week, we will begin discussing volcanoes.
