November 11 - 15, 2024

Accelerated Math:

This week we finished our numeric and algebraic expression unit. Grades will be updated in Infinite Campus. We have moved on to solving equations in the next unit. 

  6 Math:

This week we are practicing with algebraic expressions. We are writing, substituting and finding equivalent expressions. We will continue practice and have a test over numeric and algebraic expression on November 22. 

Reading

In Reading, students have finished writing their children's story. The best ones will have the opportunity to read them to the kindergartners.

Writing

In Writing, students are beginning basic research skills and author's purpose by reading multiple nonfiction articles over Spartans, great white sharks and Jackie Robinson.

This week we learned about the circulatory system, looked at our new patients symptoms and Q&A with the doctor, and conducted an experiment on heart rate. Students have a test on Monday. An email was sent out with what is on it.

We began the week learning about the "American White Table" that honors our VETERAN HEROES. Then we began our unit on "Mountains" learning about the 5 types and how they are formed. We will continue this topic into next week.
