Accelerated Math:
This week we started working with algebraic expressions. We have been writing algebraic expressions from situations and looking for words that represent math.
6 Math:
This week we finished Topic 2 and took a test on Tuesday. Infinite Campus is updated. We also practiced with prime factorization.

Reading
In Reading, students are learning how to write dialogue on our Amplify curriculum while continuing our C.E.R. practice with scary short stories.
Writing
In Writing, students are continuing to write their fictional short stories for their Multimedia Projects. Students should be completing their projects on their own time. All parts of the projects are due next Friday, November 1st.

This week we learned about different brain functions. Students got into groups and came up with their own nervous system experiments to do with the class next week.

We learned about the major rivers of the USA this week with a focus on the unexpected Hudson River Landing of a plane that was struck down by birds. Next we will review the "5 Themes of Geography."
