MathCount students in grade 7 & 8 work on challenging math problems that are beyond the regular grade-level curriculum. The Eastern Regional MathCounts Competition is typically held on the first Saturday in February at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, and includes a 30-minute individual test, eight pairs of questions that students have six minutes to complete, and finally a 20-minute team round.
