General Philosophy: Students are expected to participate in class, take notes, and complete all homework and independent practice assignments. All work for each chapter is to be organized in a math notebook. In order to learn from mistakes prior to assessments (quizzes, tests) students will correct homework errors and ask questions about problems they still do not understand. It is important that students learn to ask questions in class. Students can take makeups on quizzes and tests — they need to recognize the importance of learning the math material, not just receiving a grade.
