DEADLINE FOR INCLUSION IN THE COMMENCEMENT PROGRAM
Apply by March 31 for inclusion in the Spring semester Commencement program (May and August graduates)
Apply by October 31 for inclusion in the Fall semester Commencement program (December graduates)
Step 1:
Review profile in MyMocsNet to ensure all information is up to date before applying: name, address, major(s) and minor(s).
Step 2:
Apply for Graduation via the tool in MyMocsNet. See "How to Apply" below for those instructions and information. Be sure to note deadline dates.
Step 3:
Review Graduation Status Report (GSR) from Graduation Specialist. All graduation information is sent to your UTC email account. Schedule an appointment with Graduation Specialist if review is needed.
Step 4:
Notify your Graduation Specialist of any changes that will affect your graduation status immediately so all records can be updated. Ex: academic change, name change, or address changes.
Step 5:
Participation in the Commencement Ceremony is optional. However, if you plan to attend the Ceremony, you can purchase a University cap and gown with the online order process through the bookstore. If you are unable to purchase during the ordering times, please contact the bookstore for assistance.
Step 6:
Register for the mandatory Senior Exit Exam through the UTC testing center.
Step 7:
Clear account of any holds including the Bursar, Library or Financial Aid Exit Counseling. Important: Holds will prevent the mailing of your diploma.
Step 8:
Respond to the Commencement RSVP survey. You will receive a survey as your commencement ceremony nears (First week of April for spring and first week of November for Fall). Through this survey you confirm details that support preparations for graduation and diplomas.
Step 9:
Graduation Day—note there will be no rehearsal. Arrive at McKenzie Arena 45 minutes prior to scheduled graduation time.
