- Dramatic Lesson: Missing His Name:
- On a strip of paper write a scenario then give each group a strip to act out.
- Sample Scenario:
- A boy borrows a toy car, while playing with it, he breaks it. when the mother comes and finds the broken car, and the boy is asked what happened, the boy denies having broken it by swearing on the name of God.
- A girl is prying to god. another child sees her and makes fun of hat she is doing.
- a child is making promises to god that he will not keep. attempting to get something he wants.
- Two girls are talking about the bad day they had in school, and the one girl says, "I wish to god that I would just...."
- Other scenario:
- Application: All of these situations shows a misuse of God's name. Taking an oath to escape punishment, joking about the things of God, making promises we will not keep, using foul language, or saying God's name without meaning will all hurts God. We should try our best to only use God's name in ways that will honor Him.
