Lesson 1: Jesus My God

Spiritual Development for young children is a process that points them to God. It is teaching them who God is, how they can worship and praise Him, and how much He loves them.

📖 The Light 🔆 Programme uses this portion of Book of God to further learn more about Jesus and also be able to relate their own personal growth with what of Jesus physically, socially and spiritually. This portion is to enlighten the children as they learn more and understand the qualities of Jesus as a friend, as a God and the recognition of our need for Him as our life.

Exodus 19:1-20

Bible Story: Moses on Mount Sinai

Game: None before me

• Prepare a cards. Divide the class into 2-4 groups.

• Write the things that may be important to them like money, clothes, toys, God, etc. on the cards.

• Each child will be holding a Card. At the count of ten they need to form a straight line, depending on what the group consider most important, must then be at the front of the line.

• Do this several times. At the end of the game, the child holding the card that has the name of God should stay in front.

• Application: When we place things in front of or before God, we block ourselves from seeing Him. There are many things that we can put Him first. we should arrange our lives so that we are always able to see Him.
