Spiritual Development for young children is a process that points them to God. It is teaching them who God is, how they can worship and praise Him, and how much He loves them.

📖 The Light 🔆 Programme uses this portion of Book of God to further learn more about Jesus and also be able to relate their own personal growth with what of Jesus physically, socially and spiritually. This portion is to enlighten the children as they learn more and understand the qualities of Jesus as a friend, as a God and the recognition of our need for Him as our life.

Proverbs 18:24

"A man who has friend must himself be friendly.

• Children are asked what they have found out about their classmates

• Tell them that getting to know someone starts a friendship

• Lt them recall the friends that had and friends they have now

• Ask them why they consider them as friends.

• Relate such traits with how a friend we have in Jesus, saying that he can do more than any friend.

• Explain the verse and let them memorize.

• Letter writing

  • Material: Stationary/ Bond papers, pencils

  • Children are to choose any of their classmates and tell him/her about qualities they have as a friend in a letter.

• Repeat song and give their letters to their classmates
