Rikki Beadle-Blair MBE is a writer, director, composer, choreographer, designer, producer and performer working in the film, theatre, television and radio. Having written and directed 30 plays over the last 20 years along with several feature films, shorts and tv episodes and series, he has won several awards including the Sony Award, the Los Angeles Outfest Screenwriting and Outstanding Achievement awards. Rikki’s passion for encouraging creativity and business sense in others has led him to becoming a committed mentor to a great many writers, actors, composers and directors around the world.

Creative Writing Lab, focussing devising and imagining new theatrical pieces with Tristan Fynn-Aiduenu on Monday 14th April, 2025.
Working with theatre-maker Tristan Fynn-Aiduenu to devise, collaborate and imagine new theatrical pieces inspired by the themes of Positive. The playground format of this session is inspired by the ethos of Black Queer Actors Playground, an event series founded by Tristan to allow Black Queer people to play and connect through theatre.
Tristan Fynn-Aiduenu is a British-Ghanaian theatre-maker who's work aims to stretch the imagination of his audiences with his unique brand of storytelling. Tristan is the winner of the 2019 JMK Directors Award and 2021 Best Director award (with Ryan Calais Cameron) for The Black British Theatre-Awards. Previous work includes multi-award nominated productions "Sweet Like Chocolate Boy"(Jack Studio Theatre/ Tobacco Factory Theatres/Theatre Peckham), "Little Baby Jesus" (Orange Tree Theatre), The Oliver nominated "For Black Boys who have considered suicide when hue gets too heavy" (Nouveau Riche/ New Diorama Theatre/Royal Court/West End).

Join us for an incredible Introduction to Playwriting Workshop, using objects to write a short play with Somebody Jones on Friday 18th April, 2025 at Theatre Deli.
Join award-winning playwright and dramaturg, Somebody Jones for a dynamic playwrighting workshop where you'll dive into the world of storytelling through objects. Over the course of the workshop, you'll learn the essentials of play structure, from crafting compelling characters to creating & increasing solid stakes. Whether you're a seasoned writer or just starting out, through engaging exercises, you'll gain new writing skills and leave with a complete short play. Somebody Jones is a Los Angeles native playwright & dramaturg, currently living, working, and dreaming in London. Jones’s debut play, HOW I LEARNED TO SWIM premiered at Roundabout at Edinburgh Fringe in 2024. Jones has also dramaturged for Almeida and The Globe, and is the dramaturg for All the Happy Things, premiering at Soho Theatre this April.
