This April, the Vista Unified School District invites the community to celebrate the incredible talents of our students at two special events—Performing Arts Under the Stars and Visual Arts Under the Stars!
Performing Arts Under the Stars runs April 8-11 at Moonlight Amphitheatre. We invite you to
enjoy four spectacular evenings of live performances featuring student musicians, singers, dancers, and actors from across the district. Each night offers a unique lineup, showcasing the vibrant creativity of our schools. Best of all, this event is FREE and open to the public!
Visual Arts Under the Stars kicks off with an Opening Reception & Awards on April 16 at the Vista Civic Center. Come join us in celebrating the artistic achievements of our middle and high school students. The Opening Reception will feature an awards ceremony honoring outstanding student artwork. The exhibition will be on display from April 16 – May 7, offering the community a chance to experience the inspiring work of our young artists.
Join us in supporting and celebrating the arts in Vista—where creativity shines bright!
Magnet School applications are still being accepted for families interested in having their student attend one of Vista Unified’s five magnet schools in the 25-26 school year. Applications and additional magnet school information can be found at the Vista Unified Magnet School Webpage. The window to apply for Mission Vista High School, VIDA, or Vista Magnet Middle School closed on Friday, February 21st at 4:30pm. The application window for Casita Center or Vista Academy of Visual and Performing Arts remains open through Friday, March 7th at 4:30 pm.
Calling all Vista Unified students, families, and community members! Join us for an exciting event showcasing real-world STEM activities happening across our schools. Don’t miss the STEM Catapult Challenge, where over 340 students will put their skills to the test! Local businesses and their interns will also be joining us to share their experiences as well as the different career pathways our high schools offer. Plus, there will be food for purchase and plenty of hands-on activities for everyone to enjoy. Come be a part of this inspiring celebration of STEM and Career’s in our community!

How Can I Help My Student With
Online Learning?
During online instruction, each student will need the support of a Learning Coach, typically the parent or guardian, who is involved in the student's learning at home. As students progress in their success with online learning there is an increase in independence.
The role of the Learning Coach includes but is not limited to:
Provide a quiet and organized space for online learning.
Guide the student through the lessons, tools, and assignments as needed.
Oversee assignments and help facilitate hands-on learning.
Check for understanding and discuss concepts being taught.
Keep the student on schedule and on pace.
Ensure all components are done with fidelity.
Communicate with the teacher as needed.
Celebrate success🎉
