We cordially invite parents and students to serve as members of the VVA School Site Council (SSC). The SSC is a decision-making group that provides oversight on matters dealing with federal and state-funded programs.
SSC Meetings will be held via Zoom at 7:45 on the dates listed below. If you are interested in serving on VVA's SSC, please contact your student's advisory teacher.

How Can I Help My Student With
Online Learning?
During online instruction, each student will need the support of a Learning Coach, typically the parent or guardian, who is involved in the student's learning at home. As students progress in their success with online learning there is an increase in independence.
The role of the Learning Coach includes but is not limited to:
Provide a quiet and organized space for online learning.
Guide the student through the lessons, tools, and assignments as needed.
Oversee assignments and help facilitate hands-on learning.
Check for understanding and discuss concepts being taught.
Keep the student on schedule and on pace.
Ensure all components are done with fidelity.
Communicate with the teacher as needed.
Celebrate success🎉
