Here are some class expectations for the upcoming year:

• First, let yourself make mistakes. Research has shown that our brains create connections, or synapses, every time we make a mistake and learn from it. This is vital for brain growth and learning. Allow yourself to make mistakes and learn from them, we value them!
• Second, its all about working as a team. You will be asked to work in groups to create solutions to problems. We want the most innovative solutions you can come up with, so speak up and give your team your best effort.
• Third, we strive for excellence in all of our work. Most of the time, we will not be excellent the first, second, third, or sometimes twentieth time. Give yourself time to grow and improve every time you create. This is how excellence happens, with GRIT and perseverance.
• Last, but most certainly not least, BE KIND. We are all in this together, including me. Sometimes I will make mistakes, and sometimes you will make mistakes. We are all human and share this beautiful place called Earth. Lets make each day the best day of our lives!
