I was born and raised in Utah. I graduated from Weber State University with a degree in History and Spanish. I also spent a year and a half in Italy while I was getting my bachelor's degree.

After I graduated from Weber State, I moved to New York City to pursue my teaching degree. I obtained a Master's in Elementary Education while teaching Latin and Language Arts in the Bronx.

I have been teaching for fifteen years. Ten of those years have been in Vista Unified teaching math. I have been fortunate enough to get to work with great people during the time I've worked in Vista and I am grateful to be a part of VIDA.
