Various classes and trainings are offered throughout the year. Classes and seminars may span just one session or up to 8 sessions over 2 months. Attending classes and trainings is a great way to go deeper with what VCF has to offer and to connect with others at VCF. Most classes and trainings have a teaching component and a small group component, during which you will be able to discuss, share, and pray with others.
One main theme that this epistle tackles is how we can experience the outpouring of the Spirit especially in places where we are really pressed and out of measure, even when despair can set in. This letter of Paul's gives us a key to seeing God's ways and purposes in bringing us to places like that so that we actually do things that are beyond human possibility.
We have been born into a living hope that's been preserved for us in the heavenly realm (1 Peter 1). But what are the ingredients of this destiny? In this class, we look at some building blocks of the presence-driven life. This series is relevant both for new and more mature Christians. Those who desire to be built on firm foundations in the Christian life, will be met, and those who desire to go deeper in the life of the Spirit, will be challenged.
This devotions training is an introduction to establishing a concentrated, relational space with God in our devotional time. As we grow in this area, we can help to establish others in the Promise of a deep Divine-Human relationship in God.
Based on 1 Peter and taught by Senior Pastor Michael Koh, the series has the premise that "God is active in growing the seed of our calling and seeing it through to its fulfillment. When we fail to stay present to God, we fall out of phase with Him. Our internal clocks are dysfunctional. Although we know that we should trust in God, the condition of our souls plugs us into negativity more than God. The soul needs healing. God desires to heal the clock in our souls and enable us to behold Him as He moves to fulfill His purposes in us. He desires that we move in keeping with the rhythm of Holy Spirit Time.
God desires to speak to us in our every day lives. In this busy world with so many voices competing for our attention, how can we be confident we are hearing His voice? Michael Koh, Senior Pastor of Vision Christian Fellowship, teaches how to apprehend what God is speaking to us in such a way that we are transformed by His presence.
Through this exciting series taught by Pastor Stephen Mubanga and based on John 14, we will look at how to come to the deep levels of knowing God, discerning His ways and experiencing His presence and power. Using the examples of Jonah, the Samaritan Woman, Paul and Peter, we will also identify some barriers such as personal ideologies, culture and our pasts, which sometimes hinder us from experiencing the power of God.
Faith, though such a key factor in seeing the miracles and works of God, is not much understood in contemporary evangelicalism. Worse still, there is much misunderstanding that surrounds this powerful virtue. The class will focus on practical ways of building an "ever increasing faith" that is effectual. Like a seed, it can be increased! Come prepared to "build yourself up in the most holy faith". This is best done in the company of people who are similarly motivated.
During the month of January, join us in this period of seeking God and availing ourselves for God to speak, correct, change, fill and direct us personally for the year. This will be a special session to launch us into this exciting time, in which some practical teaching/coaching will be given as we begin seeking God individually and corporately. For those who would like help on how to seek God, and receive Him more fully, this session would be a help.
In this series, we will focus on distinguishing between living in the flesh and living in the Spirit. We will look at what scriptures tell us about being filled, led and empowered by the Holy Spirit; and distinguishing this from human or soulish impulse and action.

This study will look closely at the process that builds a faith that sees the extraordinary in our lives.
