Cementing the Future

Unit 1: Bedroom Redesign

For this project we are trying to make our bedroom better, also we learn about Fiug shie it make me know about energy, and have more idea about how energy moves. And I learned how to make a good question, just like making a driving question, I can know what I am going to do with my question. Also I learned how to use soace properly.

Before

So before my room's space is not used properly, there is less space at the selves but a lot of space for me to walk, even though I don't need so much space.

Robot

I can make a robot that have a camera on it, if it detect things it will pick up, and if there is nothing on the floor it will turn off, so you won't need to use too much energy.

After

After I have more places to put things, and my selves won't squeeze together, and Ik won't have too many space on things I don't need.

Mood board

After changing my room my room there is more space for things I need and less space used on things I don't need.

What can I improve - I can make my room cleaner, and throw somethings away so I have more places to put my things and more places to walk, also I don't need to find my things for a long time.

Driving question - So my driving question is"How can I use automation and Feng Shui to make my room better.

SDG - So I chose SDG 1 and 15 to make my project, to make my room clean I can recycle things which can help the animals, al so I can give toys and clothes to people or kids who don't have it, to help[ people who don't have money to buy these.

What I learned - After making this project I figure out how to make my room better, and how can I help the world by just cleaning my room, also after wthe atching other people 's present, I find out how can I make mine better, and help my self help my project.

How do this connect to other class - Presentation is important in every class, good presentation can always make my score better, also there is a lot of ideas I can use on math, for example coculate my room, change it form inches to cm.

Reflection

After looking at other people's prasitations I find out that the students in VIS are all very good at present, even when they don’t really talk. I learned a lot of new skills about the presentation, and know how to use our voice, and what word and way that I can learn to make my presentation more interesting. Also different people have diffrent ideas, I can take other's good ideas, and try to add it in my own project, to make my project better.

Before

This is our homeroom before redesign, there is a lot of spaces wasted and you can't use the whiteboard when you are using the projectorl, and the AC doesn’t work.

After

Logic Diagram

This is our logic diagram, so we have a AC that can detect the temperature in the class, it will turn on when the temperature is higher then 25, and will turn off when it is lower so it won't waste so much energy.

Peer Feedback

So Jim's group gave my group feedback, he and his group told us to speak louder and don't look at the slide when we are talking. The last thing is to not laugh when we are presenting.

Final Presentation

This is our group's final presentation , it is all about our classroom. We add a reading area and add windows, we also add some poster and remove some tables so we have more space and our classroom can feel clean.

Colaberation and Feedback

While I was practicing, Jim's group came and gave me and my teamates some suggestions. He told me to not look at our slide so much, and talk louder so other people can hear what we are trying to say. So when I am presenting I think of this and didn't look at the slide so much, and can talk louder which others can hear me well.

During this project, I had a really hard time with communicating with my teamates, cause everyone has diffrent ideas, and it is sometimes hard for everyone to give up their idea, and change a idea. Like when we first started our project, wand e had a really hard time choosing our ceo, so we decided to vote, even though some people will be angry or sad about it, but we still have to do what we should do. So I should learn something like listening to other people, and sometimes give up my own idea.
