Pioneer is an after-school interscholastic athletics program authorized by Special Olympics that primarily serves the students enrolled in the Life Skills classes. The team is headed by a coach and an assistant coach and offers the opportunity for student-assistant coaches from the regular education population as well as former team players. Practices are once per week at the Van Cortlandtville Elementary School while home games, played at Lakeland High School, are scheduled competitions against teams from all over Westchester County.
Nor-West Regional Special Services-Nor-West Regional Special Services, is a municipal corporation providing community-based therapeutic recreation programs, respite and transportation services to persons with differing abilities residing in the northwestern portion of Westchester County.
Sparc, Inc.-Special Program and Resource Connection (SPARC) provides active, challenging, and creative recreation for people with special needs, as well as respite for their families in the local community.
Backyard Sports Cares- Backyard Sports Cares offers recreational sport programs for children with cognitive and social challenges. Activities include: Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Football, and Tennis.
North East Westchester Special Recreation -North East Westchester Special Recreation is a community based therapeutic recreation agency serving children and adults with developmental disabilities in the north east portion of Westchester County.
Select Human Services-Select Human Services offers recreation and respite programs that offer a variety of classes with focus on different activities such as fitness, arts, games, cooking and social events.
