All of the below tasks should be completed on this document (1 per group), if necessary add links to other documents/ images. Please include the name of the group and the participants responsible for each answer. To be submitted by April 9th (in the Classroom)
Activity (1): What's Austria famous for?
You have all chosen names for your groups of famous Austrians or things that Austria is famous for. Do some research on your chosen name and create a collage or timeline of their story (their origins, career, successes, controversies, downfalls....). Save it as an image / PDF (on the document) that we can later upload to the homepage of this site.
Activity (2): Research Imperial Austria
The Hapsburg Dynasty was long-lasting, running from 1250-1950. Check out this awesome timeline of the Hapsburgs. Focus on the family trees from 1740 onwards. These were the residents of Schönbrunn Palace!
Then answer the questions about the Hasburgs and Schönbrunn Palace to prepare you for your visit in Vienna and discover curious things about this family, such as the reason for the Hapsburg jaw (pictured here)!
Please answer in your OWN words.
Activity (3): Create an audio-guided tour for the Historic Centre of Vienna.
In the afternoon of Monday 17th April you will be exploring the historic centre of Vienna. Create your own guided walk with at least 6 stops. Each person in the group will be responsible for researching a minimum of 2 stops on the tour.
1) Decide upon your route (see the example walking tour for inspiration.

Parliament Building
The Hofburg
Sights around the Innerstadt district

Vienna Operahouse
Kärtnerstraße (Shopping Street)

2) Use an interactive map (for example My Maps by Google) to plan the route, with the stops included.
3) Add an audio for each stop, where each group member will talk about the place they researched (at least 1 minute of audio per stop).
4) Add the link to your map to the Pre-Trip Activities Document
