I'm Valentina Zapata Castro, currently a grad student working with Julie Bergner at the University of Virginia (UVA) graduating during summer 2025. Next fall I'll be starting a position at UMass Amherst!

Previously I was at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, in Medellín, where I completed both my B.S. and M.S. in mathematics. My advisor was José Manuel Gómez Guerra.
