The principal and all consenting teachers will complete a brief, on-line RULER school survey (~10-15 minutes).
We will invite all lead teachers in K-6 classrooms to take part in a more comprehensive data collection.
Then, out of the consented teachers, we will randomly select one teacher per grade to participate in additional data collection that includes classroom observation, a teacher survey, student ratings, and support for recruitment of students into the study. This will take approximately 2.5 hours per year of the teachers’ time.
Families of students in the selected classrooms will be invited to participate. Then, six students per classroom will be randomly selected (from those who consented) to complete a 30-minute computer-based game on social-emotional skills and be rated by their teacher.
FCPS will provide de-identified school record data for all students in the school.
