RITIKA GUPTA
I am an Assistant Professor in the Development Economics Group at Wageningen University, Netherlands.
My primary fields of interest include development economics, gender, labor, and applied microeconomics. My research focuses on understanding how affirmative action impacts educational and labor market outcomes, with a particular emphasis on the outcomes of women in STEM fields. Another strand of my research explores the influence of violence against women and social norms on women's educational outcomes. Here is my research statement.
I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia, Master’s degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree from St. Stephen’s College.
