After a cancelled internship due to COVID-19, I spent the summer of 2020 building a sailboat with my childhood best friend.
Equipped with a $30 book from Amazon and an improvised home workshop, we worked 40+ hours / week building a 17-foot clinker plywood sailboat.
In a tumultuous, pandemic-stricken world, this project was the perfect escape. It allowed me to connect with one of my best friends and create something awesome in the process.
My friend wrote an article about our experience and had it published in Practical Boat Owner magazine.
