Description
"The Global Mosaic" is an exciting and collaborative eTwinning project that brings together students from seven different countries/schools to explore, share, and connect. Through the study of six captivating themes—Personality, Biography, Wild Animals, Television, Dreams,Planets, and Environments—students will gain a deeper understanding of their own culture and the cultures of their partners. Each country will take the lead on one theme, acting as cultural guides for their international peers.
Our project aims to promote intercultural dialogue and understanding among students from diverse backgrounds.
Month 1 (Introduction): Students and teachers introduce themselves and their schools using TwinSpace and Padlet and Avatarmakers. They form international teams.
Months 2-7 (Theme Rotation): Each country leads its assigned theme for one month. For example:
During the "Wild Animals" month, led by one school ,students will share presentations on local wildlife and collaborate on a virtual "global wildlife sanctuary" map.
During the "Television" month, led by other school, students will compare TV habits and create short video clips.
Collaboration: Activities will include creating digital content (posters, videos, quizzes), participating in forums, and engaging in videocalls.
Ongoing Communication: Partners will use the TwinSpace, forums, and video messages (Flipgrid) to share progress and give feedback.
Expected Results:
Upon completion of the project, we will have co-created a rich digital portfolio of work, including:
A collaborative e-magazine ("The Global Mosaic Digest") featuring all student work.
An interactive world map pinpointing each country's contributions.
A shared video playlist and photo gallery showcasing the different themes.
Public TwinSpace pages to display our work for the wider community.
A final online webinar where students can present their findings and celebrate their achievements together.
To develop students' digital competencies and creativity through the use of various web2 tools.
To enhance communication and collaboration skills in a multilingual and multicultural environment.
To encourage critical thinking and research skills as students explore and present their assigned themes.
To foster a sense of European and global citizenship by working on shared topics and common goals.
The project will run over seven months, with each month focusing on one of the seven core themes.
Through this project, students will not only learn about the world but also become active creators of content, breaking down stereotypes and building lasting bridges of friendship and knowledge.
