What is "YPA"?

YPA Stands for the Young Performers Academy. During the audition process, if a young performer shows promise and the directors and producers see that a second show can be cast using younger performers in lead roles, a second cast will be formed to provide young students with a lead performance opportunity.

The MISSION of Village Tech Theater is to ignite a passion for performing arts in students, parents, families, and the community.

So, what's required?

Time. Committment. Additional Costumes. Extra Lines. Parent Support. Love. Trust. Patience. Bravery.

Rehearsals - These students will need to attend EVERY rehearsal that their "big kid" is attending. They will need to study every move of their "big kid". They will need to practice vocal coaching with their "big kid" and follow very closely when pulled for their YPA Rehearsals. There is a chance a Wednesday here and there is needed.
